Starting a working life
The March 1964 newsletter welcomed eight new apprentices to Southern Portland Cement. Seven began at Berrima and one at Marulan; their names and photographs give families a vivid point of entry into the working life of the company. The same page lists new employees joining the stockhouse, yard, powerhouse, machine shop and drawing office.
