A book at the end of a ridge

For more than thirty years, walkers arriving at Bonnum Pic could leave their names and impressions in a book kept in a metal box. The lookout lies near the end of a narrow ridge above the Wollondilly Valley in Nattai National Park. The book’s entries run from July 1963 to August 1995; along with names and comments, it contains drawings left by visitors. When it was full, it came to the Society’s archives for safekeeping.

The Society’s transcription lists visits on the Mittagong to Katoomba walking track, with dates, names and walking groups. Entries are not always in chronological order; check the original page for the context of each visit. Read about the visitors’ book

Some entries include historical personal street addresses and other details. Please contact the Society if you have a concern about an entry.
